Our parish has three permanent deacons (which are the "typical" deacons that you're probably familiar with) and usually a few transitional deacons (our parish has several vocations to the priesthood). A transitional deacon (and permanent deacon too) has received Holy Orders (to a limited degree), but hasn't yet been ordained a priest. I think seminarians are ordained as deacons about a year before they complete their studies and get ordained to the priesthood.swissmisshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11091563100968996825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7932831182639117728.post-42682882576665698302008-06-27T15:38:00.000-06:002008-06-27T15:38:00.000-06:00Fourteen to sixteen answers correct: You're nearly...Fourteen to sixteen answers correct: You're nearly ready to take over the adult education classes in your parish--you need to do just a little more homework.

Sisters cannot be chaplins?
