Weekend Kneeler Jeopardy

It rained and snowed and rained some more today. Brrr. It's winter here in the hinterland. This should be a softball for all the frozen folks out there.

Category: Org chart

This diocese, headquartered in Washington D.C. and serving almost 1.5 million Catholics, has no physical boundaries or location.

St. Alex says, please place your answer in the form of a question in the combox, and say a few Hail Marys while you wait for the answer to be revealed.

Demerits for using Google and other sneaky searches. Educated guesses are welcome and encouraged. Good luck!!

I think my Guardian Angel might have come through for me tonight. I've never stopped by the "Kneeler" on a Friday before.

How 'bout: "What is the Archdiocese for the Military Services"

Wanna see my ID Card?

I'm somewhat suspicious of the size, but I guess if you consider dependents and civilian employees of the military overseas, that might be it.

You got it. Somehow that military background of yours had to come through!! Congrats!!!!!!!! Woo hoo!! Now you and Cathy both have one on your mantle or computer hutch or whatever. I just found this question on a site that said the diocese had more than 1.4 million so I rounded up to "almost 1.5 million." They mentioned all branches of the military, all across the world, VA hospitals, chapels, etc. Who knows the exact number...guess it depends if you're in a fox hole or not.

Its the structure they're suggesting for the Anglicans.

AA is right, too. I was reading that earlier today.

But I volunteer at the local VA Hospital a couple of days a week and also serve Mass there, too.

And we are not under the Archdiocese of StP-M, but under the Military Archdiocese, Abp. Broglio in charge. Most of his chaplains are military, but he is not.

And if they count hospital patients, well then 1.5 million might be low. There are something like 3,000 employees and 2,000 volunteers at this hospital alone. And if you ever drive by to see the parking lot, most of it is reserved for outpatients for clinic visits, most of whom just visit a few times a year at most.

I've got my furniture catalog out, Swissie, but I need the dimensions for my statue or figurine or whatever it is. Or is it measured in electrons or mu-mesons or something?

But I can go to bed and rest comfortably tonight, knowing that I have caught up to Cathy in the Great Achievements Race.

Swissmiss - sorry to comment off topic but I came across an old topic of yours regarding St Brendan's Cathedral in Loughrea Ireland, and the picture of your ancestors home. I was hoping you could eamil me at xlperro@yahoo.com so I could ask how you were able to locate the family home. My family research has led me to Loughrea where my great-grandfather was born in 1865. Thanks in advance!

Something about "Apostolate for Cave-Catholics", Alex?

Ray:
Glad you're able to sleep easy. The award can be found on prior jeopardy posts. I'll have to send it to you. I think it could be measured in bits and pixels.

Richard:
I'll send you an e-mail today. I was fortunate with this branch of my family since there was a prolific lawyer in the family who wrote all about the family's coming to the US and where they were from in a small town called Kilnadeema just outside of Loughrea.

Vir caveman: Like your form of a question! At first I read it as Apostate of Cave Catholics...I didn't have my glasses on :) Please pray for my CWO brother who is an apostate Cave Catholic.
