Labor Day Weekend Kneeler Jeopardy

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

Category: Anathema

This saint defended the Church against Arianism in the WEST.

St. Alex says, please place your answer in the form of a question in the combox, and say a few Hail Marys while you wait for the answer to be revealed.

Demerits for using Google and other sneaky searches. Educated guesses are welcome and encouraged. Good luck!!

Congrats to Archangel's Advocate who won last week's coveted WKJ award!

I guess it's either one of two things. Either folks were gone for the weekend and didn't have a chance to guess OR everyone needs remedial work in religion since I got this question out of a grade school religion text!!!!!

The answer is St. Ambrose. St. Athanasius fought against Arianism in the Eastern Church.

There were a number of others who played pivotal roles, like Jerome for one. I like Ambrose because he told Monica that Austine would get his act together (although I suspect he said it to get the weepy mother off his doorstep. Isn't revisionist history fun?)

Hey, it's only Thursday, four days late and you cut it off already.

I'm going have to send my self reminder messages on these contests, else I'll never win one of those nifty badges. I've got a place all picked out for at at the top of my blog.
