Hubby has more psychological tests from his class. The last one was the Pig Personality Profile. This one is the Lüscher Color Test. However, the test hubby had in class only had four colors of which you picked one. I couldn't find this specific test on the internet, but did find several expanded versions.
An explanation I found:
The Lüscher-Color-Diagnostic measures a person's psycho-physical state, his or her ability to withstand stress, to perform, and to communicate. It uncovers the cause of psychological stress, which can lead to physical symptoms. Using 5015 precise definitions, the selections from among these pre-determined test colors measure the state of 34 personality traits, some of which lie outside the realm of the conscious. Because the color selections are guided in an unconscious manner, they reveal the person as he or she really is, and not as he or she perceives him - or herself, or as he, or she would like to be perceived, which occurs when questions are asked directly or by questionnaires.
The result of the Lüscher-Color-Diagnostic contains indications pertaining to personal assessment and special, professional recommendations.
THE TEST
Here's a link to one of the tests I found.
And, here are my results:
Hungers for intensity in life and welcomes opportunity to take on challenges and experience them with intense vitality. Is open-minded, active, and full of initiative. Expects others to share interests and join in enthusiastically. Enters into restless and bustling activity. Wants to be successful and get results. This imparts a strong feeling of fascination and enthusiasm.
Longs for lasting and loving togetherness. Places great value on a deep and trusting bond. Is capable of a strong and intense emotional relationship. Does not want to allow any feeling of distance or estrangement from the valued partner to arise. Wants to avoid anything leading to personal isolation and loneliness.
There are more tests online.
Here's one
Here's another (NB: This link crashed my browser twice)
Here's another one with cool graphics and a more detailed analysis, but I didn't like these colors since they didn't seem to be as true to the Lüscher test colors.

The one with the graphics is just way too fun. It makes all those cool drum beats when you choose your cube.
It actually did a pretty good job of describing me.

The results I got are mediocre. Did you ever do the Pig Personality Profile? Check back about a month ago and try it. That one was kind of fun too.
My daughter recommends the pig one too.
My results were much the same on each test-quite interesting.
Is it used in real clinical settings?
WSNS:
I'm not sure if it is used much clinically since I read some criticisms of it (different colors evoke different feelings depending on your culture ie: some cultures wear black to funerals, some wear white, some other colors). My husband is working on his master's in engineering and this was for a project management class. They had to take a bunch of psychological type tests to find out about their management style, strengths, weaknesses, etc. It's one of many tests they took to provide them insight, but I don't know if it is used by itself to provide information.
Hungers for intensity in life and welcomes opportunity to take on challenges and experience them with intense vitality. Is active and eager. Lets nothing interfere with goals and interests. Views conventional prejudices or timidity and lack of magnanimity of others as needless constraints.

Desirous of protecting self from disturbing or unsettling conflicts with anyone who is close or important as a partner. Has an urgent need to be freed from such difficulties. Longs for an uncomplicated peaceful relationship to persons who are important as partners. Desires a carefree, light-hearted relationship which does not lead to painful conflicts.
yep - that is me!
I think it's all because you quit smoking ;}
I agree with me results, except the weird
Wants to avoid anything leading to personal isolation and loneliness part. I've never really thought about that...must be veddy, veddy subconscious!
That was fun, I tried several of them. Odd thing is I seem to react more to the color purple but I NEVER use purple in my home and very rarely wear purple. But I find it very pleasing to the eye...I'm also a little concerned that I'm starting to like the color orange :)
Fit me almost to a T.
