Weekend Kneeler Jeopardy Deux

Since Joe of St. Thérèse got the previous Jeopardy question right, here's another one. Please let me get to the cabin at least before someone gets this!

Category: Rulers and their realm

This leader was baptized on his death bed by the heretical Eusebius of Nicomedia, a proponent of Arianism.

St. Alex says, please place your answer in the form of a question in the combox, and say a few Hail Marys while you wait for the answer to be revealed. Demerits for using Google. Educated guesses are welcome and encouraged.

You got it!! I know I never learned this stuff as a kid. I didn't even really learn about American history, much less any other country!

Terry: LOL!! So close. Still, you could be a prophet about Maggie :)

I grew up watching "Jeopardy" back in the Art Fleming days. It's interesting how many "Cathoic" questions appear on that program

I haven't looked at any of the previous answers.

"Cross my heart and hope to die!"

Who was the Emperor Constantine I?

Dang it, he even got the "I" right.

But he didn't say "Emperor." In a thorough reading of history, I find "Prince Constantine I", "King Constantine I", Sultan Constantine I", Pharaoh Constantine I" and a whole bunch of others.

I would like to lodge a protest. I figure I should be able to win on a technicality.

Just as an add footnote to history, the "Emperor Constantine I" (see my protest above) was able to put off his baptism til his death bed.

Assuming he didn't blaspheme in his final moment, he can be assumed to be in heaven and should be venerated as the "Patron Saint of Good Timing."

You get credit for your answer. You win the prize for your age group :)

Patron of Good Timing...LOL! I'll have to remember that.
