Another milestone - mommy post ahead

We took my son to the dentist for the first time yesterday.

There were no tears and no anxiety, at least on his part. I've been running a lot this week and didn't even remember about the appointment until yesterday morning. Thought I should prepare my son a little for the visit, so told him he was going to the dentist and very briefly explained about what they would do to clean his teeth.

My son was fearless. Way more concerned about all the super cool tools the dentist had and he required the hygienist and dentist to fully explain their equipment and procedures before doing anything in his mouth. He had a great time...it was a world of wonder to him. Plus, they gave him a new toothbrush and floss, so now they are his new best friends.

I wonder if this is the result of being the progeny of two engineers? Poor kid.

oh how funny- we just had a first dentist visit too!
my son did not like "Mr.Straw", the minty tooth polish OR the latex gloves. But other than that, we survived. :)

Swiss, what are the traffix laws in Minnesota? Do we have to stop until the yellow lights quit flashing for a "Mommy Post", or can we proceed through with caution?

Chris:
My son had a choice of mint or cherry and picked cherry, so he was cool with the toothpaste. Did had a slight melt down when he didn't get any x-rays because his mouth was too small. We've been learning a lot about the human body and x-rays and the like, so really wanted to see an x-ray of his own teeth. However, my husband had an appointment right after my son and he had x-rays, so my son was content to see those.

I titled it a "mommy post" since many of the people who read my blog don't have kids, so it was a warning that something syrupy and even cute could be ahead. Definitely proceed with caution because on some days the cute mommy posts might actually be a disgusting mommy post. Forewarned is forearmed.
