This bishop and martyr (stabbed after an attempt to burn him at the stake failed) was a convert who is reputed to have been a disciple of St. John. Critics call him "unoriginal" for his simple style. However, the technically correct answer is: "Who is SAINT Polycarp."
I know, I've only ever known him as Polycarp, just dishin' some trash talk...

I suspect it has something to do with this parents not being too good at picking names! I would've changed it if I were him.
Although, the "many fish" could be appropriate since he was in the line of apostolic fishermen and I believe he dealt with a lot of early Church grumblings, so both are appropriate :)
